On the Road Again

So back my popular demand here I am....

I arrived in Buenos Aires on the 31st. Had a very nice New Years with some friends I traveled with in Peru as well as a bunch of other girls. Nili has her own apartment with 3 other girls, so we watched fireworks from her roof at midnight. Apparently in Argentina everyone spends New Years moment with their family and the parties start later. At around 2 or 3 we headed to a club where we danced up a storm to lots of cool music, including a group of African drummers (which of course I loved). Then at around 6 am we ate some beef and then went to sleep for the rest of the day.

The rest of my days in B.A. were nice, saw some museums, saw Evitá's grave, ate some more beef and just walked around.

Now I am in Uruguay, my dream destination, and its as amazing as I expected. The town i´m in reminds me a little of Split, Croatia, in that its alot of very old buildings being occupied by newer businesses and such. The beach is amazing. Nili and I are staying at a cabaña right on the beach. Aside from the bugs, which have killed me as they always do, its really an awesome location. Tomorrow we head north east to Punta del diablo where we will meet our friend Hadar, a girl from Israel. Punta del diablo is supposed to be ''off the beaten track'' and a haven for surfers and artists. Should be lotsa fun.
